Dr. Paul Sommers is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Washington's Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy. He is a regional economist specializing in high tech industry trends and workforce needs. His work on these topics has been funded by The Brookings Institution, CEOs for Cities, the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, WSA, and the Technology Alliance. |

John Taylor, Regional Homeland Security Coordinator, Thurston County, Olympia, WA. Mr. Taylor coordinates the Homeland Security planning efforts of five county governments, five cities, and six tribes in Region 3, consisting of approximately 422,500 residents. He provides oversight and monitoring of Homeland Security Grant funding currently consisting of four grants totaling more than 3 million dollars. He serves as the primary support staff and consultant for the Homeland Security Regional Council. |
