Grant was selected in June 2007 to be the Department of Transportation’s Director of the Office of Information Technology after serving briefly as acting director of the office.   Grant brings enthusiasm and commitment in providing value-added technology services to the agency.  Grant joined WSDOT in 2006 and quickly became instrumental in moving the technology organization forward. He has brought partnership and collaboration to geographically dispersed technology units.  Grant has over thirteen years of experience in the technology field and state government, joining WSDOT from the Attorney General’s Office (AGO).  While at AGO he served in leadership roles including their Network Infrastructure and Field Services Manager. 

Grant was elected to the IPMA Board in 2008 and has served on several committees.

Grant is one of the first graduates from the IPMA LeaderPath program.
