Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

IPMA previously sponsored two special interest groups (SIGs):

Project Management SIG (Note: The former PM SIG Web site has been superceded by the Project Management Framework.)
State Telecommunications Association (STA) (Note: The STA dissolved in December 2007.)

Neither of these groups now exist.

Background

In January 2002 the IPMA Board approved in principle a proposal to sponsor and support the PM SIG; see the summary of the annual planning meeting for more details. In June 2002 a formal agreement of sponsorship and support was signed.

In February 2003 IPMA entered into a similar agreement with the State Telecommunications Association (STA).

IPMA provided web hosting and listserv services to the PM SIG and STA in recognition of the alignment of their missions with IPMA's mission.
