IPMA Code of Ethics

To uphold and advance the honor and dignity of my profession, and in keeping with high standards of ethical conduct, I:

Will respect and protect the dignity of individuals honoring their right to fair consideration in all aspects of employment and to the pursuit of a rewarding career without regard to race, sex., religion, age, national origin, or presence of any physical or mental disability.
Will foster and apply professional management practices and principles to empower each other to develop our full capability as competent, productive memebers of the organization.
Will endeavor to ensure that consideration is given to the human aspects of management plans and decisions.
Will share my knowledge and time in counseling and development of those pursuing a career in information technology management and will contribute to the development and dissemination of information for the improvement of the profession.
Will treat as priviledged, information accepted in trust.
Will faithfully respect and apply this Code in the conduct of my professional duties and responsibilities.
Will ensure that credit is given to those to whom it is due.
Will inform the IPMA Board of Directors of any possible conflict of interest.
