Ron has worked in Washington State Information Technology for twenty-seven years. He has been the Chief Information Officer for the Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) since 2001. Prior to DFI, Ron spent eleven years with the Department of Health as an Information Service Manager. He also worked for the Department of Licensing, Alaska Airlines, and Sperry Univac.  Ron’s background in IT has covered almost every aspect of IT from management, project management, systems design and programming, database administration, networks, and technical support. He won’t say how long he has actually been in IT, but he did learn to program on punch cards.
 
Ron joined the IPMA Board in 2009 and is serving on several committees.
